Peace Academies
All are needed to ignite the most significant paradigm-shift in the history of the Earth -
away from the culture of war and toward a Culture of Peace.

In order to do so, we must put into definitive action the wise words spoken by the beloved Reverend
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that:

With tremendous faith in what is possible, with confidence in the power of the Human Spirit, and with trust that Love is the most supreme force in all of existence, Pathways To Peace and Project Evolve are launching a mission to assemble the world's first wave of Global Peace Academies.

Global Peace Academies are intended to eventually outpace the
rigor, resourcing, and reach of the international war-machine.
It is time we re-shape our world around Peace.
​

These Peace Academies will serve the purpose of helping those who love peace begin to organize and mobilize, truly and effectively. This movement is about nurturing the vision that peace can abound and, within the atmosphere of abounding peace, Humankind can flourish in a world which configures itself around honoring the preciousness of life.
Across numerous societies, humans have placed emphasis on a variety of human competencies. For instance, evidence of literacy in reading and writing began several thousand years ago. Numeracy and mathematical literacy have been global phenomena of educational focus for almost a hundred years and now fall into the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals. But, what about literacy in peace? What would our civilizations look like if we put as much time, effort, attention, training, emphasis, and importance into being literate in peace as we do other aspects of development?

Pathways To Peace recognizes that peace-work and education must go hand-in-hand in order for peaceful means of societal relating to thrive and evolve. Together with Pathways To Peace holding a framework for infusing peace-mindedness and soci-ecological harmony into all major domains of society, Project Evolve lends vision to how we can structure a cultural architecture to incorporate peace-building into the core aspects for supporting humanity and human civilization. Having a platform for concentrated efforts to hone Peace, where participants are supported in their journey of 'becoming the Peace' and exuding that peace from their own lives, is an essential aspect of any a societal structure capable of nourishing the best of our humanity.

Of utmost importance at this pivotal time in the history of mankind, the ongoing Herstory of Mother Earth, and the future of Ourstory as planetary kin, is that we come to the knowing of the truth of the Peace found within. For, it is from this true wellspring that Peace flows. Due to missing the mark of the source of Peace being beyond the limits of the human mind, efforts aimed at increasing peace at individual, community, national, or international levels through theoretical agendas cannot actually succeed. Likewise, if the focus is only on building so-called peace skills (as in conflict-resolution or communication skills) but these are not attributes seen as emanating from the font of inner peace, these approaches can only offer a surface-level attempted solution, but do not get to the root cause of the disturbance of peace nor do they tap into the peace which is accessible beyond the mere mind, by way of the Heart.

We must get to the Heart of the matter to ring in an Era of Peace.
We speak of the metaphorical Heart of Existence, and also the physical heart - which modern science is revealing as the literal seat of transformation of the human experience, as has been taught by wisdom-keepers across geography and generations. One must understand, from inner experience, the power of the coherence generated by an integrated heart-brain wave pattern, in order to comprehend the mechanics of both the felt-sense of inner peace and how Peace is a powerful force for bringing harmony through our open-heartedness into the outer world.

For decades now, the Science of Peace has been developing, with rigorous studies proving the power of meditation and the ripple effects of coherent heart-brain wave states. Significant impact has been scientifically demonstrated for the reduction of violence in the vicinity of groups of meditators. The Peace Academies are guided by cutting-edge empirical research as well as ancient wisdom. These two streams of knowledge converge to illuminate how Pathways To Peace can inspire the development of a Culture of Peace as we evolve our societal structures to embrace the building of peace as every bit of a serious an endeavor as we have considered and resourced the war-machine.

The Peace Academies will focus on the Science of Peace, with determination and dedication as follows:
Brain Heart Coherence

Peace Academy participants will train in heart-brain coherence as a foundation for inner peace- the fundamental building block of outer peace.

Peace Academy Cadets (or perhaps they shall prefer to be called Jedi!), trained to guard peace, freedom, harmony, and justice, via the science of how inner peace ripples out into the world, can be deployed for various service missions based on emerging needs.

As spiritual-warriors take the sacred journey of the inner vision-quest, bringing healing awareness to the inner battles which arise from traumas in personal, ancestral, cultural, and collective lineages, greater degrees of self-mastery can be attained, leading one to be able to be a more radiant vessel for Peace to pour forth into the world.
Unity Consciousness

Unity Consciousness represents a higher order consciousness, for perceiving The World as One whole web of life moving together. This is the necessary ground of awareness for overcoming the problems which have been generated and perpetuated from the level of separateness consciousness.

Peace Academies represent a unique key shift from the way most people and endeavors are currently operating within cultural domains; from the level of conditioning according to the inertia of the past, versus coming home to that primary inward connection and acting from that intelligence.

Through knowing that there is a unified consciousness which runs through all humankind and through all life, communities can tap into the abundance of the Earth, such as through food and material production and delivery systems which honor the bounteousness of our shared planet home

From the recognition - that there is a self-same force of consciousness within all life that unifies us - true peace can prevail between us, as individuals or as nations.
Dedication

Connectivity and Networking

Within the framework of the intelligence of the coherent mode of being, Peace Academy participants will become increasingly fluent in the way of Peace as they extend themselves in service within their relationships, within their communities, and within key cultural domains

Rooted in ways of peace, the Peace Academies can mobilize human resources into areas of the world ripe for peace-building, in a manner that is both localized and also of global impact.

Mirroring the wisdom-sharing pattern of nature, information will be freely exchanged in an open-source manner everywhere that hubs of Peace Academies operate.
Trauma Informed Action

Peace Academy participants will learn to help themselves and others regain and cultivate coherence, so that peace-keepers may bring the power of the Heart to areas of the world in need of healing

As humanity becomes freed into the re-memberance of itself as one intimately interwoven whole with billions of diverse expressions of individuality, a life-respecting generative cooperation will become the most natural way of relating with one another.

The Oneness-Consciousness at the core of the vision for these Global Peace Academies recognizes that trauma healing and the awakening of humanity to its potential to know itself as a peaceful species go hand-in-hand
Peace Litteracy

Shifting towards a Culture of Peace is a matter of becoming trauma-aware, then trauma-informed, then trauma-integrated at the level of individuals, communities, and societies, and eventually spreading the wisdom of trauma-integration and healing to every corner of the globe.

Peace Academies will serve the noble purpose of stewarding humanity through the most powerful paradigm shift the world has ever collectively seen as we consciously move away from a culture of war, towards a Culture of Peace.

Given the holo-fratal the structure of existence, transformation at any level and locale within the matrix of life transforms the whole. Thus, the spread of peace can become exponentially empowered as more people come into coherent resonance together at a level of healed wholeness.
This form of 'peace-keeping' and 'peace-building' represents an enormous departure from how those terms are currently utilized within the framework of the modern military-industrial complex.
The real work of keeping and building peace is about DISARMAMENT.
That begins and ends with inner disarmament. Being able to drop our personal and collective internal psychological armor is very bit as important and relevant as helping the world learn to "set down arms" as in the tangible weapons of war. The Peace Academies can assist in this becoming a form of societal intelligence, via revealing how inner causes and conditions which lead to conflict become manifest amongst us, whether a small conflict between two people or a nuclear war between allying nations.
While there may be a phase where the Peace Academies can even interface with the traditional military systems - to assist with the disarmament of the world - the ultimate goal of this visionary movement is for truly new systems with new foci, methods, goals, outcomes, process, and core wisdom to emerge such that eventually the perceived need for war can dissolve and humanity can instead stand in its true potential of tending to all life in accord with the abundance and underlying harmony of the Earth. We adhere to the adage spoken:

The hope of altering the trajectory of the world's paradigm away from a culture of war towards a Culture of Peace rests on our ability to truly understand Peace and to embody it.
To operate in a way of peace can be approached as a form of bio-mimicry, where it is obviously the case that within a healthy organism, there are effective cell boundaries and feedback loops with systems for calibration whenever disruptions to health occur, which ensure the vitality and balance of the individual cell and the organism as a whole. Beyond biomimicry, the reality is that the function of a healthy cell, the function of a healthy individual, the function of a healthy humanity, and the function of a healthy planet are all different levels reflective of the same basic processes which support vitality and thriving.
At this time of the 6th Mass Extinction, we are seeing a global imbalance to a degree never before witnessed upon the face of the Earth, with inflammation, disconnection, dis-ease, and break-down at all of those levels. It is at the level of the whole human that we can find an inroad for coming into harmony. Every single cell in our body is literally coded with information to alert us to the need for rebalancing. The Earth without us has gone on with creative intelligence beyond compare for billions of years and has wisdom for us now, if we can attune and refine our nervous systems sufficient to detect and interpret the messages. It up to us to tend with more intelligence to our individual bodies and to the whole body of humanity in order to do our part in support of Life. As we come home to the deepest place within ourself, to the source of inner peace, we can come to understand that every atom has a mind, that the Earth is sentient, and that it is the human which forms the Event Horizon between the smallest particle and the totality of the cosmos. Therein lies the power to change everything about how our world operates.
The first sentence of the preamble of the Constitution of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization reads:

"Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that
the defenses of peace must be constructed."
​
This wisdom, originating from ancient Vedic texts, aptly locates the disruption from Peace within the mind, and calls for solutions to also start within the mind, rather than targeting the outer apparatus of war nor inserting interventions from the same level of thinking which created the problems. This hits home as the entire basis for the Global Peace Academies, with the overarching goal first to focus on bringing people into union with the Source of Peace, within. This wisdom is the wisdom of Yoga. With Yoga meaning to Unite the individual consciousness with Universal Consciousness. In other words, to unite the personal heart-mind with the Universal Heart-Mind, which makes possible the perception of the Truth of our Oneness and breaks the chains of all inner and outer war because once that Union takes root, all that which stands counter to Peace can begin to dissolve.

Thus, the foundation of the Global Peace Academies will be to hone
a Yoga of the Culture of Peace,
for all of its capacities and potentials to bring about
personal, intergenerational, cultural, and planetary healing.
Military academies bring people together to learn of the ways of the warring world and then send them out to physically act out the strategies and agendas of the mind-at-war. By contrast, Peace Academies begin first by bringing people within. And, as that inner place of Peace becomes touched upon through the heart, the mental structures which have created defenses begin to loosen. Via the process of this inner-disarmament, Peace can start to shine through thought, word, and deed, leading to the creation of a more peaceful world, emanating from the inside out. From that consciousness - Peace Consciousness - the Warriors of Light will issue forth their work and service in the world.
