Culture of Peace
'Yoga' is a Sanskrit word derived from the root "Yuj', meaning to yoke individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness. Other translations refer to meeting, union, communion, consumation, or absorption of the soul with the Oversoul.

Yoga indicates a perfect harmony between Man & The Divine, Man & Nature, between Mind & Body, or between Body-Mind & Spirit.

The wealth of Yoga belongs to the whole world of humanity. Although its early practice is linked to Eastern philosophies, now Yoga has taken a universal pathway for peace of mind and a healthy body for people to become a living expression of peace.
Culture is all we do. It is a container for how we live together in community.
Our celebrations, our language, our customs, our values, our way of life.
A Culture of Peace takes place within individuals, communities, and nations. It pertains to how we approach all ways of life.
The United Nations Culture of Peace Initiative has proposed 8 Action Areas, including the facets of education; sustainable economic and social development; respect for all human rights; equality between women and men; fostering democratic participation; advancing understanding, tolerance, and solidarity; supporting participatory communication and the free flow of information and knowledge; and promoting international peace and security.

Yoga of the Culture of Peace
At the United Nations
In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution that recognized that a wider dissemination of information about benefits of both the physical exercises and spiritual practices of yoga of would be beneficial to the health of the world population. An annual International Day of Yoga was then established for June 21st.
Yoga of a Culture of Peace
We create a Culture of Peace though being an Embodiment of Peace in the Present Moment
Project Evolve’s Cultural Architecture facilitates the development of a Culture of Peace
via the practice of a Yoga of a Culture of Peace, which is a practice of:

-
Yoking heart and mind.
-
Yoking the limited sense of self to the Oneness of All Life (one’s heart with Heart of the World).
-
Yoking every atom, cell, tissue, organ and system within the body with the Light of Life (Spirit).
Living the way of a Yoga of a Culture of Peace centers on cultivating Inner Light, of yoking
all that is non-peace with the dissolving power of the Peace that Passes All Understanding, within us.
As we yoke all parts and pieces of ourselves with that Peace Within, we can experience greater peace amongst and between us, in relationships, families, communities, and the entire planetary whole.

This is a Yoga which can help Humanity
return to
Our Place
in the
Circle of Life.
